Learn about the steps involved in developing a website.
Here are the steps we follow at Rothbright when we develop websites:
Define the project: The first step is to clearly define the project, including the purpose of the website, target audience, and the goals you want to achieve with the website.
Research: Next, you’ll want to research your competition and target audience to get a better understanding of what’s already out there and what your audience is looking for in a website.
Plan the website’s structure: After you’ve defined the project and done your research, you’ll want to start planning the structure of the website. This includes determining the number of pages the website will have and what content will be included on each page.
Create a wireframe: A wireframe is a visual representation of the website’s structure and content. It’s a good idea to create a wireframe to help you plan the layout and organization of the website’s content.
Design the website: The next step is to design the website, including the color scheme, typography, and visual elements. You can either create the design yourself or hire a designer to do it for you.
Develop the website: Once the design is complete, it’s time to start developing the website. This involves coding the front-end and back-end of the website, as well as integrating any necessary features or functionality.
Test and launch: Before launching the website, it’s important to thoroughly test it to ensure that it’s functioning properly and is user-friendly. Once all the bugs have been ironed out, you can launch the website and make it live for the public to access.
Maintain and update the website: A website is never truly “complete” – you’ll need to regularly maintain and update it to keep it current and ensure that it continues to meet the needs of your audience. This might involve adding new content, fixing any issues that arise, and making updates to the design and functionality as needed.
